A Message from our Recruitment & Marketing VP
My name is Abby and I am the current Recruitment and Marketing VP of the Theta Omicron chapter of Alpha Delta Pi here at JMU. I am an IDLS major with a Special Education minor from northern New Jersey. Thank you for taking the time to check out our website!
Coming into JMU from out of state, I was worried about finding my place but I knew that going through recruitment is something that I wanted to give a shot. Finding ADPi, and becoming part of Greek life in general, is one of the best things that has happened to me here. ADPi is a really special organization that has given me so much. As a shy freshman, I wasn’t completely sure of myself or confident in my leadership skills but seeing how welcoming and supportive my sisters were made me want to put myself out there and get involved. As each semester in ADPi passed, I gained new leaderships skills, made new friendships, and learned more about myself and others and I am still gaining these things now! Gaining your confidence is a never ending process and ADPi has been with me throughout that journey!
The constant encouragement I have felt from my sisters is something I cherish and I know that they are there for me whatever I may need. We are all unique and I believe our differences is what makes this chapter so strong. If you are someone going through recruitment, I encourage you to put yourself out there and keep an open mind because Greek life has so much to offer! If you are someone just browsing around, thank you for taking the time to learn about our chapter of Alpha Delta Pi!
